Glitter – Injection Grade

Injection grade glitter powder made from extremely thin metal Aluminum. Then coated/colored under high temperature and cut with precision into standard sizes.

A specialized glitter designed for injection molding, formulated to disperse evenly in materials during the process. It can withstand high temperatures. This capability can be applied to ABS, PVC, PE, PP and PS. It comes in various shapes (flakes, particles) and a wide color range, adding decorative sparkle to final products.

Characteristics

Temperature resistance: For silver injection glitters are about 300℃. For colored injection glitters are about 250℃.

Particle Size & Shape: Precisely controlled, from <100 microns to a few millimeters. Shapes include hexagonal (uniform reflection) and irregular (scattered sparkle).

Compatibility: Works with plastics and resins, embedding without harming mechanical properties.

Environmental Considerations: Traditional non-biodegradable (PET-based) glitters raise pollution concerns. Injection grade glitters are Aluminum based, no-plastic risks.

Applications

It is also applicable to matte, silicone, and color masterbatch. These materials are used in the plastic injection molding industry, such as pellets.

  • Consumer Goods: Plastic toys, decorative items (frames, vases), fashion accessories (jewelry, hair clips).
  • Industrial Uses: Custom automotive trim, electronics housings (phone cases) for unique aesthetics.

Advantages

  • Aesthetic Boost: Enhances visual appeal, critical for consumer/fashion markets.
  • Durability: Embedded in material, resists falling off or fading better than surface coatings.
  • Customization: Flexible color, size, and shape choices for tailored designs.
